Portaferry Lifeboat - Blue Peter V

Our  boat, Blue Peter V, is an Atlantic 75, D class lifeboat. She carries three crew and has a top speed of 34 knots. The lifeboat was purchased with the generous assistance of viewers of the BBC television programme Blue Peter.

The Portaferry lifeboat provides coverage of the whole of Strangford Lough and the Irish Sea area up to five nautical miles offshore between Burr Point, Ballyhalbert, Co. Down, and St John's Point to the south of the Lough's mouth.
